Musio $149 for the First Year ($199 thereafter) Offer Ends April 30

PETER’S TAKE: I purchased Musio 1, the perpetual license version of Musio, last year. I consider it one of the best sample library values I’ve ever taken advantage of. But Musio has discontinued a perpetual license version, so a subscription is the only option for Musio. Personally, I’m not a fan of subscriptions. But I am a fan of Musio’s libraries and platform. I do think that it’s a great quality product and an honest value.

Cinesamples, the maker of Musio, has a well-earned reputation for making superb sample libraries.  While Musio libraries are not as detailed as their Cinesamples counterparts, I’ve found that they fit my needs very well. On the more critical side, the Musio platform isn’t as sophisticated as Kontakt. Musio doesn’t have the extensive presets and assortment of high-quality effects that Kontakt offers. But considering the price I paid, it was well worth the compromise. There are numerous choices for subscription sample libraries, especially EastWest, which currently has a $99 annual subscription rate that anyone considering Musio should also be researching. But I can testify that Musio is very good.
