Nembrini Important Update: New Licensing System

We are excited to announce a significant update to our licensing system! Moving forward, Nembrini Audio plugins will no longer use iLok copy protection. This means you won’t need any third-party software to authenticate our plugins. All licensing will be managed directly through your Nembrini Audio account, providing a smoother and more straightforward experience.

How to Activate Your Plugins:

• Online Activation: Download and install the plugin. When prompted, log in with your Nembrini Audio account credentials to activate it on your machine.
• Offline Activation: Download the installer on an internet-enabled computer, transfer it to your offline machine, and follow the steps to request and load a license file.

Please note that existing iLok licenses will remain active until the end of 2024. After this period, only the new Nembrini Audio account-based licensing will be supported.

Additionally, our minimum operating system requirements have changed. Our plugins now require at least Windows 8 or macOS 10.13 to function correctly.

I have to say, I really don’t like when companies start to meddle with their activation methods/servers in a manner in which they take options away from the consumer that has already paid into an established system. Whilst iLok isn’t perfect, far from it, I still question any company that tries to run their own authentication servers and their ability to do so in the future.

Hadn’t bought my first Nembrini plugin yet so have no personal skin in the game, but news like this always makes me slightly uneasy.

On that note, I’d also like to extend a fabulous FU to Adobe.
