MAP – Where Sound Becomes Play
MAP is a modern synthesizer inspired by 1970s modular synthesis, particularly the work of Serge, Buchla, and other West Coast pioneers. It combines three versatile oscillators, dual filters, a multi-type noise source, and extensive modulation options (including envelopes, drawable LFOs, and a generative arpeggiator) to allow hands-on sound design. Its effects – covering colour (EQ), time (delay), and space (reverb and granular processing) – extend the instrument’s sonic possibilities. Designed for exploration rather than presets, MAP emphasizes creativity, unpredictability, and expressive control, making it suitable for leads, textures, ambient soundscapes, and cinematic sounds. While inspired by historical modular systems, it is an independent product with no official affiliation to those pioneers.
