NI is teasing Absynth6 in a new ad and subreddit post… [Not a Deal]

Someone — probably working with NI — posted the photo above in the synthesizers subreddit, stating “Absynth 6 teased in new Synth History Magazine.” If you want to see for yourself, it’s here:

NI’s official account comments on the thread as follows:

“We don’t know what you are all talking about” and links to this URL with a countdown timer letting us know that the announcement is coming in 1 Day and 7 hours as of this post:

I am on the NI press release distribution list, but they didn’t send me anything out about this, but they’re clearly having some fun with this tease. FTR, I was disappointed when Absynth was discontinued, so I love this news — or tease of news and am looking forward to the upcoming NI announcement.

This has been confirmed in a KVR thread by both Evil Dragon and by Ocean Swift Software who is doing factory presets for Absynth 6.

This would be a clever signature if I could think of one.

According to Evil Dragon — who I’ve known for two decades (from the early days at KVR and from offering him advice over the years) and works at NI — yes. Brian Clevinger is involved in Abynth6. So, for those of us who love Absynth — which includes me — this is very good news.
