Thanks @jorge  I edited my post.  I own Chords I and Groove Shaper, so I guess that is why I got a $29 offer.  TBH I am not really interested in the upgrade.  I never even used Chords I on a track (but I have used Shaper).  Fluid Chords gives an interesting effect, but it strikes me as kind of a “one trick pony” that you probably won’t use in many tunes, lest they all sound the same.  On top of that, Ableton 12 (I think starting with v11) lets you create the same effect manually with their tools.  Not as simply, but with much more control.

I agree that it does seem like a bit of a one trick pony, even the demo videos make the effect seem a bit samey but I suppose it is a type of effect so it’s to be expected. That said, their tools are quite straightforward to use and inspiring.
