For my understanding: there is no difference between buying Studio One 7 outright and extending the licence to get 12 more  months of updates. Right?

Annual subscriptions come with a perpetual license that receive a full year of updates from the date of purchase/registration.

In addition to a perpetual license, annual Pro+ subscribers will gain 12 months of access to extra cloud-based tools, community and collaboration features, plug-ins, and an extensive library of loops and sounds.

Perpetual licenses that come with annual subscriptions will continue receiving feature updates under an active annual subscription but are non-updating once an annual subscription expires.
