I only have a few cheap deals from them and a bunch of freebies, and it all sounds really great to my ears, but I do find their activation system a complete mess. I am not a fan of it either. But I’ve always loved the way Roland stuff from their sounds, to their drum machines to their drum kits (the first electronic drum kit I ever bought — in my basement today) was Roland’s model drum kit model and I bought a pretty nice V Kit in the 00s. So while I love the way their stuff sounds, I would have to say that Roland probably does have the worst activation hassle on my machine. I hope they get that figured out someday soon because until then, they’re only going to get very tiny purchases from me.
