OTOH if you do the sub for one year ($99) you can choose among so-called Legendary synths like the D-50 to keep. And they’re better looking as well as better sounding.

How much would it cost to upgrade from this to Zenology Pro Collection?

I tried the cheapest sub when it was on offer for a year. Great plugins and sounds but…

I didn’t renew mostly because of Roland Cloud Manager. If you don’t have it running and logged in all the time then any Roland plugin won’t authorise. I got sick of it.

It is interesting how most of us have synths (with samples) and sample libraries that contain samples and emulations of great, classic synths from companies like Roland, Yamaha, Korg, etc., but a much smaller amount of us are buying digital stuff from those companies. The stuff I’ve heard, and the stuff I’ve owned from Roland sounds superb. I’ve just been cutting back a lot. But otherwise, it seems great, and costs a lot less than those hardware synths and rack mounts I still have in my basement. Yeah, I think I need to do a garage sale or something.

Ha! I read your post after clicking on the notification and re-read my comment to see what might have inspired that, then I scrolled up and realized that my comment posted 3x! I’m not totally sure what happened, but I am having a developer working on the live site (I had an issue with auto-embed for YouTube videos in GROUPS that I’m hoping will be fixed soon), so it might be something he was doing. The reality of running a complex site is that there’s always something to work on. It’s a lot like being a homeowner of a big old house.

I suppose Reverb. The last snare drum I purchased before an injury that forever stopped me from being able to perform again is now a collector’s item. And I never played it. A gold-plated snare drum in new condition. I saw a used one selling for more than $1,200 US a few years ago. And still, it’s hard to part with a drum I never even played!  Although I just did a search and it appears prices have come considerably down since then.
