Forums › DEALS › Virtual & Physical Music Gear Deals › Sound Dust Black Friday Sale – EVERYTHING is 40% OFF w/Code
I’ve shared a number of times that Sound Dust is on my list of favorite sample developers. I was sharing that since their early days when I was active at KVR and Pendle often posted there. If you’re not familiar with them, the developer makes sample libraries for Kontakt that require the full version. Their libraries are quirky, sometimes weird and wonderful sample libraries that have won over some very well-known musicians, composers and fellow developers (Trent Reznor is a big fan, using their libraries on soundtracks, the Spitfire co-founders are big fans, and so are many others). Just check them out.Use the code CAPITALISM to get 40% off anything in their store.
The sale lasts until November 21, 2025.
At this time, it doesn’t appear that this sale is being carried on their Loot Audio pages. I’ll update the thread if that changes. But in any event, check them out. I love their work.

Absolutely, I LOVE Ship’s Piano and their Dulcitone libraries. There’s a eerie, wonderful quality to those instruments. A vibe. I’m finding that @wrongtools is the one other developer that comes to mind that just has a vibe to what they do. These developers have found a way to injet their artistry into their sample libraries and I find it extremely compelling. I write that in contrast to developers who excel at creating excellent libraries — like Orange Tree Samples libraries or Toontrack drum libraries (plugins), they’re all about amazing realism and the tone is incredible. But there’s something to these two developers, Sound Dust and WrongTools that isn’t merely just about realism. I can’t describe it fully beyond saying that they know how to inject a vibe into sounds and it makes playing their instruments have a kind of magic to them that I find inspiring and it’s really hard to put into words (clearly, because I’m probably not doing a good job of it!). But I very much feel that these developers are more fairly called artists than most developers, which I would consider craftsmen or more like engineers.
