I just downloaded the demo for Waves Clarity VX to see how it compares to Supertone Clear — which I own. I tried it on a vocal I did and found that Clear performed much better and didn’t get fooled and cut off my vocal at times, which was a problem for Clarity VX. Okay, why am I doing this? I’m contemplating picking up Waves 3 plugins for $49 US deal that ends today. Yes, I don’t love Waves WUP, but sometimes their plugins are still excellent and at this price, it’s hard to find anything that compares.
