Forums › ALL THINGS MUSIC › The Beatles’ Secrets That Dominic Miller Uncovered
I’m watching this video as I write this. It is Rick Beato interviewing Dominic Miller, and Dominic and Rick discussing what makes certain Beatles’ songs so great, with Dominic playing the songs and parts on guitar. I know not all of us are huge Beatles fans like yours truly, but for those who are, you really need to check this out.I am a fan of Sting as singer/songwriter/musician and I think Dominic is very talented and have seen them in concert with one of my favorite drummers, Vinnie Colaiuta.
Before you guys think all I listen to is The Beatles, my musical tastes are incredibly diverse. The three bands I formed in my playing days (each focused on one genre) were (1) jazz-rock fusion (inspired by the Jeff Beck Group, Mahavishnu Orchestra, and Return to Forever), (2) alt-rock (inspired by everything rock, but more so my bands like the Posies and Soundgarden), and (3) R&B. For current artists, I’m a huge fan of Madison Cunningham. Absolutely my favorite singer-songwriter of the modern era.
