I’m in a hurry at the moment. I’ll update this later. Best Service usually carries all the Toontrack special sales and prices the sale items a little lower, plus they have their Best Coin (and Instant Best Coin) and free gifts with purchase, so I’d recommend checking there before buying from Toontrack directly.
Today’s Toontrack sale is aimed at heavy metal.

I was really hoping for a EZX for $29 that appealed to me, but I have yet to see one. Hopefully, they do something great for the finale tomorrow.
As far as comparing Toontrack’s basses to Orange Tree Samples’ basses, Orange Tree Samples is really in a whole different league of sampled instruments. Orange Tree Samples instruments are actually hybrids of sampling and physical modeling. On a sample library level, they have vastly more detail than Toontrack’s libraries.
We also need to keep in mind that Toontrack’s EZ lines are targeted at a different kind of user than Orange Tree Samples. Orange Tree Samples targets musicians who want to perform or program their parts, whereas Toontrack, like UJAM, targets users who want pre-made MIDI parts. So, there’s a lot more focus on that aspect of Toontrack and UJAM sampled instruments.

Cool and interesting. I learnt something new today.
I picked up the EZB 60s midi. Just because I am teaching myself bass and I find EZB great as an educational tool. Much cheaper than paying a teacher.
Gear & Setup:
Instruments: guitars, lapsteels, mandolins, bass, e.t.c.
Hardware: Mac Mini M2 Pro 32gb, Windows 10 Pro 32gb
DAWs & other stuff: FL Studio, Cubase, Maschine
Amp Sims: Amplitube, AmpRoom, S-Gear, Stark
There’s something funky about today’s offers:
Funkmasters EZX €29
Funk EZkeys MIDI €9
Modern Funk EZkeys MIDI €9
Modern Funk Grooves €9
Funk without Bass?
Darn.I was hoping that they’d have something I really wanted in this sale. They really focus hard on metal, and seem to do a great job with it. But as a rock guy, I didn’t find the EZXs in the sale very appealing. @pseudopop knows why I didn’t find today’s EZX of interest (I sold him my license for Funkmaster last month).
Hopefully, they’ll do something else before the end of year.
