Interestingly, Best Service has all EZMix packs at 40% off, including the ones for EZMix 3, whereas Toontrack limits those to 20% off (as they are new and much more substantially tweakable).
I jumped at the new Vocals one, as it has 65 presets, all AI. Was thinking of the Acoustic Songwriter pack too, but that one has only 29 presets, of which 14 AI.

I think we’re all way too similar! I actually upgraded to EZMix 3 specifically to grab that new vocal pack, and I’m glad I did. Even more, the next pack I’m planning to buy is the Acoustic Songwriter pack!

How much did they get from you for the upgrade and Vocals?

It’s been a few months since I bought it, but I know it wasn’t the greatest deal, I just really wanted it for a project I was working on.

Looks like a good one indeed, that Vocals expansion pack, holding 30% more presets than regular packs and those presets are all AI-based but very tweakable with lots of sliders, up to ten.
I’m hesitant about the Acoustic Songwriter pack, though, as it only has 29 presets, of which only 14 are AI-based, and too many amp presets to my liking. Also, there’s an accordion and a few resonator presets, but as a whole the pack’s not really inspiring as far as instruments are concerned.
I already had a few packs, yet they are older and only allow for two tweakable sliders. But the Schmitt and Henderson packs are quite special, the latter even referencing his Supertramp saxophone settings.
Anyway, the 3.0.2 EzMix update allows one to briefly try out each preset of each pack by selecting an option at the top of the app. Seems a good way to get a detailed taste before you buy.
Meanwhile, here’s wishing they do a make over of their older expansion packs to give those more (slider) tweakability.

I agree completely (I would bet a lot of other EZMix 3 users feel similarly).
I was largely interested in this pack due to both the acoustic guitar and piano presets appealing to me. But I definitely was aware that that there aren’t a ton of presets. I haven’t found a lot of premade piano effects and acoustic guitar presets that I like as much as I like these. My only hesitation is that while the sale does state that it runs until the end of the year, I can’t help but wonder if they’ll add in some additional incentives as we get closer to Black Friday. 40 percent off does seem to be Toontrack’s standard deep discount for the EZMix line. That said, I’m probably going to end up picking up this week, because I do have a number of folk rock-ish song projects this would work well on.
