We presently have email alerts for the forum where members have the option to receive an email for every thread, or a daily digest of the emails from a forum/subforum (thanks to a fantastic web developer, community member and friend of LM, @lamia6 — she’s custom scripts, tweaks, and fixes on LM). I have contemplated doing an email that goes out for glitch sales and very short time-limited deals that are exceptional values.

No one else is doing it, and I think it would be extremely useful. The big thing — beyond the costs — that’s kept me from doing it is that it’s a lot more work. If activity picks up considerably at LM and people want it, I will seriously look into it. I’ve sent lamia6 a DM to ask her about some ideas I have to make it less work to accomplish (basically, I turn to her for my ideas on what’s possible! We’re both “idea people” — the major difference is that lamia6 actually knows how to turn the ideas into reality).
