@cclarry Asking you not as a deal expert, but for your audio production expertise. From what I can discern while friends of mine have long told me Fab Filter, Fab FIlter, Fab Filter, it seems that everything UAD — as far as their audio plugins, I’m not really focused on their instruments and synths — is at a very high level, excellent stuff, some of the best there is. Would you say that I’ve got that right or would you say that they’re excellent at some areas of audio and not at others?

Yes!

While I do like Fabfilter I don’t own any. IMO they are just too high priced period
and RARELY have a “Good Deal”. They used to even have 50% Off but they
don’t even do that anymore…30% is the max you’re going to get.

They’ve gotten “Too Big For their Britches” as my Mom used to say!

Thanks Larry! Unlike you and a lot of others here, I still don’t know what I’m doing with mixing and mastering, so there’s no way I’d even understand what to do with Fab Filter plugins even if I did buy them. UAD at least has some great sales that make their plugins a lot more affordable.
