Name a song from your youth that your friends or schoolmates loved that you absolutely hated.

For me, the absolute worst song of my youth was, “Safety Dance.” No redeeming values to the song whatsoever.

In 8th grade there was always someone who played “Hot Dog” by Led Zeppelin on the jukebox. Not that I hated that one but I just thought it was weird.

I guess I was lucky that it seemed like all the songs from my youth I hated weren’t really songs my friends liked. I mean, I really hated “Don’t You Want Me Baby”, but so did my friends.

But none of the songs I hated in my youth compare to “You Oughtta Know”, because like “Believe”, it is one of the few songs which lowered the bar for songs which followed.
