Hey all,
I’m at a point where I’m purchasing much less HW/SW these days. It’s kind of weird to say, but there’s nothing that really amazes me anymore. I think the last time I was amazed was during the Universal Audio sales. Hated all the glitches on their deals(people got insanely great deals). But regardless of the glitches, they make some of the best plugins. I was also excited when SSL released the SSL 2+… just an amazing interface.
Personally, I’m trying to venture more into the enthusiast/pro line of monitors. I’m always in the pursuit of true sound when producing, mixing and mastering. I have 5 pairs of studio monitors. I def need to sell 4 of those and just have 2 sets to listen on. I think for me, if I got an amazing pair of studio monitors, that would sate my GAS… at least for a few months, hah.
Which leads me to my question…
With BF/CM right around the corner, what are you guys REALLY interested in purchasing?

Maybe Arturia V Collection.

That’s a good one. Their products are always something that I reach for… great investment. I haven’t upgraded for a while. That’s something I need to ponder
I’m pretty well $pent too.
I have all the hardware and software I probably need and want.
Will more show up here and there? Yeah. But my actual wish list is now nil.

I blew my music money on a website. Hahaha. But I’m still very likely to buy Musio 1, because I’ve long been in love with the sound of Piano in Blue and Cinesamples is obviously a great sample developer. The only thing that might hold me back is my budget and the fact that my tendinitis keeps me from playing well enough to put that piano to good use. Still, I’m so in love with the sound. The Tina Guo Cello libraries also sound gorgeous, although they have more reverb baked in than I like. Before that became my most desired expenditure, I was strongly contemplating the Abbey Road String Quartet library (I forget it’s name). It sounds absolutely fantastic to my ears, and I think it’s on sale for something around $170 US. But Musio 1 offers so much, I see that and the UAD Plugin deal for $79 US as the best Black Friday deals I’ve seen so far. Because I have very bad tendinitis and in pain even typing on the computer keyboard a short while, I am happy with the MIDI controllers and V-Drums I have and only focused on software — well, except that I need to pick up a new sustain pedal (Greg S. has told me he’s had great experiences with Yamaha sustain pedals; if anyone here has one they’d recommend, please let me know).
BTW, I did make a sticky with my picks for the best black Friday deals and freebies that I’d love to get people chiming in with their picks on. I definitely did not intended it to be a monologue, but wanted to get us all deciding what the best deals and freebies are. It’s obviously completely subjective, dependent on our tastes and wants. But I thought it could be helpful to a lot of people.
Your friend who keeps the beat. I suppose I'm also the chef at this place.
