Would you be interested in participating in LinkedMusicians collaborations?

Ever since I started LinkedMusicians, I thought it would be cool to get into collaborations. I could start one of to get things going or if someone else is motivated to do so, I would welcome that.

What do you say? For those of us who love to play, I think it could be wonderful. I’m imagining something like Playing for Change (I’ll put some examples below). I can handle drums and basic tracks and invite others to modify them as they like. As a lot of us here started in Cakewalk Sonar, we could use that and free our tracks as we share. If more experienced collaborators want to share their recommendations on the best way to share, I’d welcome that. I’ve really only collaborated with two other people since I started attempting to play again around 4 years ago, Greg Schlaepfer (multi-instrumentalist), and a rapper. I’d love to do more collaborations.

What do you think? Are you interested?

These are my collaboration tracks. But I would prefer to just handle drums, not vocals or other instruments, ideally.

A medley of the progression form a Paul McCartney Song “Dear Boy” with a song I wrote as a teen called “Brighter Days” that I always thought sounded very McCartney-eque (Greg replaced and greatly improved my guitar and bass tracks). This became a demo for Orange Tree Samples Evolution Vintage Violin Bass

I agree with you. I’d love to expand the current profiles so that it’s easier for everyone to put their music and custom profile there, kind of like MySpace, but that would require custom development ($$$$$$), so it would be something that would be at least a couple of years away, unless we can raise the funds before then.

Unfortunately, though, I can’t promise any help on the girlfriend front! 😉
