The lead singer (Ed?) had introduced a song he wrote about York — and I do love the York Peppermint Patty, which I learned from him is made in the town, or at least the company was founded there — although the lyrics for that song were pretty much Spinal Tap territory. York Peppermint Patties were made in York, until Peter Paul, and then Hershey bought them. As a kid I used to walk to the factory from my grandmother’s house and buy factory seconds. Still love them.
And yea I recall “Sh-t Towne”, I will say York has come a long way since then, but the eighties it was going downhill.
