One year ago, we set out to build a different kind of music community—one rooted in ensuring non-toxic, friendly interactions, ethics, transparency, platform neutrality, and a shared love for the craft that is our common ground. Today, after reaching more than 100,000 visitors and counting since our pubic launch, LinkedMusicians is thriving.

We’ve expanded our platform significantly this year, launching tools like PowerSEARCH (to find reviews from Sound on Sound, Mix, and TapeOp), our Mixing & Mastering Problem Solver, and a suite of songwriting tools. Our Magazine and Podcast sections now bring you daily updates from the industry’s top publications—all free of charge. And the best news? There is much more planned for 2026.

To celebrate our first year, we’ve partnered with two of the most highly regarded developers in the industry to offer these incredible prizes that any member can win just by commenting in this thread. (A quick note to all of you lurkers reading this — join!  LM is free, it’s friendly, and we’d love for you to be a part of it. Plus you can win an awesome prize!):

How To Enter

How it Works

There will be two winners selected by Random.org. The first winner will receive a copy of IK Multimedia ReSing MAX. The second winner will receive a copy of Orange Tree Samples Evolution Indie Rock. But they’ll need to respond within 72 hours of notification (see the details below).

Official Rules & Legal Disclaimers

• Deadline: Entries must be posted in this thread by May 8, 2026, at 11:59 PM CDT.
• Eligibility: No purchase necessary to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law. Open to registered members of LinkedMusicians in good standing (banned/suspended members, developers, and their contractors are ineligible) who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
• Strict One-Entry Policy: Limit one (1) entry per person. Any individual found creating multiple usernames, utilizing “sock-puppet” accounts, or employing false information to secure additional entries will be immediately disqualified and will receive a permanent, lifetime ban from the LinkedMusicians platform. We reserve the right to verify identities and community standing at our sole discretion prior to awarding any prize.
• Winner Selection: Two (2) winners will be selected via Random.org’s Paid Giveaway Service. A public verification URL will be posted to this thread following the draw for 100% transparency.
• Claiming Your Prize: Winners will be notified via PM and the email address associated with their account. To comply with international software licensing requirements and tax regulations, winners must provide their full legal name, physical mailing address, and a valid phone number within 72 hours of notification.
• Identity Verification: LinkedMusicians reserves the right to request proof of identity to ensure the winner is not utilizing multiple accounts or circumventing prior bans. Failure to provide verifiable information that matches the entry profile, or the discovery of multiple entries under different aliases, will result in immediate forfeiture of the prize and a permanent platform ban.
• Conditions: Prizes are non-transferable; no cash alternatives. Licenses are subject to the EULA of IK Multimedia and Orange Tree Samples.
• Privacy & Data Handling: Personal information (Legal Name, Address, Phone Number) collected from winners will be used strictly for the purpose of prize fulfillment and legal/tax compliance. This data will be shared only with the participating developer (IK Multimedia or Orange Tree Samples) to facilitate license issuance. All data is handled in accordance with our privacy policy.  By entering, you release LinkedMusicians/Peter DeLegge and participating developers from any liability related to this sweepstakes.

ONE thing?   Hard to pick.  I have to go “big picture” and say- “A culture of integrity” that LM strives for, top to bottom.  I am hoping for more interaction on stuff beyond the deals, like favorite software, hardware, why you like it, why you don’t, how to use it, neat tricks it does, what issues are you having that you need help with, what new cool thing did you find that has not been mentioned on LM before?

I value the insight people give on deals when they have thoughts on the products.

Aside from the forum, I also appreciate the Open Mic feature. Would love to see more stuff about peoples’ favorite hardware or software for different uses, like everyone’s favorite mics for specific use cases.

First, unlike other forums, there are no censorship blackouts forbidding the discussion of “competitors” products. As a non-industry insider, I can feely let people know exactly how I feel about the new version of Studio One (errg… I mean the new Fender Studio Pro). Honest or critical posts are not removed. I appreciate this.
