This whole thread was incredibly informative.  I had no real idea about the inner workings/thinking of software companies and this really pulled the curtain back for me.  I would be very interested in seeing more posts along these lines.

Why do I get the feeling that when you fire up your computer that the neighborhood experiences a brown out?

I’ve had a real issue with Waves since that subscription thing, but they do seem to be developing some interesting things these days.  I figure Sonible will have their own version of this out fairly soon, but I still may have to consider a demo from waves.

I think Cat Mode actually has a future.
