Brian started the topic Udemy Sale Ends May 22 in the forum Virtual & Physical Music Gear Deals
This sale may have been on a while, but I just saw it. Udemy has some good tutorials and this looks like one of the better (frequent) sales with a minimum price of $9.99. Many of the sales are @ $13.99 minimum.

Brian replied to the topic 🆓LM EXCLUSIVE:Analog Empire Plucks & Keys for MSoundFactory – FREE 1 Week in the forum Virtual & Physical Music Gear Deals
The info page linked is a bit confusing. They say it is an Msoundfactory library that is free to owners of regular or LE versions. I think all of their libraries are “free” for owners. I own the Melda bundle, so I don’t know- If you get the one week “freebie”, do you get a “player” version of Msoundfactory to use it?

Brian replied to the topic IK MixBox – $19.99 in the forum Virtual & Physical Music Gear Deals
Well Sampletank has been on the market for at least 20 years- I know because I have owned it for at least that long. I think it was the first VST I ever bought, to use with Band-In-A-Box, before I got into regular DAWS. I can understand why publishers retire stuff- especially for Apple, as they don’t really care about providing any backward s…Read More

Brian replied to the topic AI piano player? in the forum Samplers, Sample Players & Sample Libraries
Speculation mode on – I don’t think there is AI involved in the MIDI output created by UJAM or EZ Keyboard stuff. I think they are algorithmic (i.e. old fashioned computer code) because the output is precisely repeatable based on the input. In both programs, if you mash the same keys and pick the same settings, you get the same generated part. A…Read More

Brian replied to the topic Lunacy Audio Beam 2.0 in the forum Virtual & Physical Music Gear Deals
This upgrade thing is not making sense to me. Quote from Lunacy site (emphasis mine):

Brian replied to the topic AI piano player? in the forum Samplers, Sample Players & Sample Libraries
I don’t / can’t use Logic (no fruity hardware here) but UJAM has four piano titles that are kinda similar to what EZ Keys does. I think they are algorhythmic rather than AI based MIDI generators, but they all target a similar task in that you input chords, pick a style, and out comes keyboard performances. I have not put much time into Scaler 3…Read More

I just want to give my Kudos to IK for their resolution of an issue I had this week. MANY years ago I bought Sampletank Max (physical package) on USB memory stick. If you are pinching pennies, JRR is giving 11% off with “forum”. “group” appears not to work with BabyAudio. Bonus for me at least- JRR is still not collecting my State’s sales tax, which is a not insignificant 9%. I’ve noticed that a lot of direct sellers use payment processors that do (collect sales taxes).

Thanks Doug! You are correct- there is no soundpack to install, contrary to Melda’s own directions. “Lofi Vibes” just appears in the MSoundFactory panel after updating. I would guess that they didn’t create new samples; just FX fo…Read More
