10% code for over 300$? Humm thats strange.. considering previous summer of sounds the upgrade price in the collectors tier would not surpass 250$

i guess something has changed or it is only usefull for newcomers

That time of year when most of us update our versions of Komplete! What new stuff is everyone anticipating? I’m probably going to stick with Komplete Standard. I’m pretty excited about:

– The new features in Kontakt 8, and I have heard good things from some Kontakt developers.

– Guitar Rig 7 Pro. I like 6, although I like Amplitube better. I’ve read that Guitar Rig 7 is a nice improvement from 6.

– Izotope Ozone 11 Standard. I currently use Ozone 9 to master everything I’ve shared on SoundCloud.

– Session Percussionist. Sounds good, looks fun.

– Electric Keys – Tines Duo. I always appreciate electric pianos.

 

What about everyone else? Kontakt is my go-to sampler, with Musio and SoundPaint my next choices, and SD3 or AD2 for acoustic drums (I’ve been using AD2 a lot more since their 2.5 update).

I’m on Komplete 13 Ultimate @peter, so there are A LOT of updates in K15 U.

Some that I would like to get are:

• Kontakt 8
• The new Session titles (Acoustic Sunburst Dlx, Prime Bass, Icon Bass, Upright Bass, Ukelele, Electric Mint, Picked Nylon)
• Ashlight
• Session Percussionist
• Ireland
• Choir Omnia
• Piano and Vocal Colours
• Guitar Rig 7 Pro
• Alicia’s Electric keys and other Electric Keys

There are probably others, but that got to be worth the circa 179.50 GBP (inc VAT) alone, assuming the price is the same as previously.

I have thought about Piano Colours. I think Galaxy Instruments are super talented. I’d pick Noire as my favorite grand piano library, with the update of Rosewood Grand coming in next. I usually avoid loops, even with my tendinitis, severely limiting my playing and 20+ years without practice because of tendintis, I still want what I record to my own, so I have this bias against loops, but sometimes, I will turn to the Session stuff if I’m in a hurry for some strums and they’re close enough to what I want. I really don’t have use for the patterns with riffs, I would prefer they kept them limited to strums. I really love the sound of Pharlight.

If I wasn’t watching my budget, I would definitely pick up Ultimate, but I spent my music budget for a couple of years on a website! True story! Now, when I pick stuff up, I generally limit it to $25 US or under.
