This subreddit represents an exciting new chapter for LinkedMusicians. Our mission has always been simple: build a space where creators are entirely in control.

If you’ve spent time in other music production forums, you know the landscape. It’s increasingly common to see honest reviews silenced to protect brand/developer/advertiser interests, marketing disguised as genuine user feedback, and environments that actively fuel toxicity. The reality is that on many of these platforms, hostility isn’t an accident or a moderation failure—it’s a key part of a highly profitable business model designed to drive engagement and ad revenue. Those frustrations were a driving force behind creating LinkedMusicians in the first place—to build a sanctuary away from that noise and reject that model entirely. I’ve spent my career building, managing, and advising on digital communities and marketing. I have never been close to one that is inherently as ethically problematic as the practices in the legacy forums as this industry.

By transitioning our community to Reddit, we can fully focus on what matters most: growing a thriving, creator-first environment. While I will continue to host our curated “Best Deals of the Week” over on LinkedMusicians.com, the conversation, connection, and collaboration belong here.
