I used to run a Facebook Group called “Kindness” years ago. I suppose I was very motivated to do that when my kids were young and I wanted to impress upon them the imporrtance of kindness and caring for others. I would post inspiring stories and quotes about people doing acts of kindness in the group. While I stopped posting in it, I thought this story would have fit very well, and it also fits our community.
My wife just shared that one of her co-workers started a GoFundMe out of the kindness of his heart to help out a small music store in the Chicago suburbs called Uncle John’s Music. They recently had a drunk driver crash into their store, severely damaging the store and their inventory. It’s just a small music store, not Guitar Center, and I’m sure that this situation makes it very difficult for them (I have no idea if they have insurance, as I actually don’t know the business personally), I just found what he’s doing beautiful and moving and wanted to share it here with all of you.
