Hello everyone, I just wanted to let you know that I’m signing up a bunch of folks from Cakewalk Forums today. Be sure to keep letting people know about this community, that’s how we grow. It looks like public registration will begin next week. Please let others know that they can be registered for the site by sending an email to linkedmusicains AT gmail dot com, stating their first and last name and desired username.
To be very candid, I’m pretty happy with our little group. We have so many people I’ve gotten to know and like from Cakewalk Forums — and some people I didn’t know very well from there like @lamia6 , @doug and @bluescat have become new friends that have been a very important part of this community (a bunch of the issues on this forum have been fixed or improved by Lamia6). But I would love to see more of our old friends from Cakewalk Forums and really, any of your friends you feel would be a good fit for this community are welcome. I realize that once we open for public registration, we’re going to find people who don’t behave as well. No doubt, the reality is, we’ll end up having to bounce some people. But that’s not the case with our group. You have my promise that I will be committed to ensuring that as this community grows, it will be about quality, not quantity. It will reflect the ideals of how people should treat one another — with respect, ideally, with kindness and empathy, like a friend.
Thanks for being a part of this community and helping it grow.

@Kirean If someone told you this stuff and you didn’t know it first hand, it would be hard to believe. And still BandLab refuses to fix the more than a dozen times they had data breaches and exposed my real name on their site. Mark them down as incredibly unprofessional.

I’m not well-versed in nor really who who is who behind the scenes, but I guess the ban hammer might have come from upstairs. Yet all my years ‘online’ and going through forums/message boards in all kinds of fields, I really haven’t seen a platform ban all mentions to competitors (DAWs in this case) like that. Then again, being new to music creation sites I’ve noticed that music soft/hardware companies can be built a bit different…

The mods over at the old place have been cleaning up posts with mentions/links to this board. I believe if you write the URL or the name normally, one’s post will be automatically withheld for mod action (= deletion). It’s quite the paranoid android over there.
