    @lastcall

    (EDIT: I spoke too soon, sad face, even though it doesn’t sound that bad as before with the new PSU, still doesn’t come close to my Mac+Apollo+Modius DAC combo, I don’t know why this has been forever, idk what makes it sound different and one better, if I am using the same on DAC. Have tried different DACS, I reach the same conclusion: Mac for music making is the best.
    Good thing is still that I don’t wanna cry anymore everytime I hear stuff from my PC with the new PSU. Youtube still sucks, but not as bad (not so much on my MAC.
    I can tell all of this because I use the same songs, like a 100 songs, believe it or not, to do comparisons).

    Been reading the wall thingy, very cool and great idea I think, Peter.

    Something weird happened to me in my PC ordeal, that I wanted to add because even if my post falls on deaf ears, I have to be clear about something:

    IDK what happened when my PC broke, but the playback output now to me doesn’t sound THAT different from my MAC (I use the SPDIF output of my Apollo X8 into my Modius DAC), again, BUT this time it doesn’t thin or harsh at all! I still bet my life on it that it does sound different, but just that, different, not worse or better. SO FAR.

    Different things happened when I tried repairing my PC: I bought a new PSU, a 750 Watts one, Corsair.

    I disabled/enabled stuff in the Bios because I wanted (without success) to enable my other M2 Nvme port.
    I don’t have a clue what I did exactly and what really does within the system (even though I followed some youtube/web tutorials, quick guides).

    WINDOWS clean install, and without bloatware.

    IDK what “FIXED” the sound, but I finally, again, enjoy the sound of my PC (and videogames and music ofc).

    I had to be clear about this, as I don’t want to spread misinformation.

    What I can tell you is that changing to MAC, has been a blessing because EVERYTHING just works.
    (I just watched a Linus Tech Tips where they were fighting the PC about HDR stuff… THEY JUST REINSTALLED WINDOWS, IT WAS WAY EASIER AND LESS TIME CONSUMING).

    That’s just a small taste of what PCs mean to me.
    If it wasn’t for the fact I love videogames… (because no console comes near a very nice PC at all!).

    Leave you with my Motto: LIVE LIFE (and enjoy the love you receive/give because there is not a second chance. That’s just a little part of the philosophy of why I chose this nickname).
