I have been real happy riding/automating the “Volume” on IK’s Tape Echo to get feedback. You can run through it real-time and record the results until you get one that works for what your trying to do.

I have that one by IK and will have to try that method as an alternative. Thanks for the filter tip as well. Originally got this plugin with the intention of digitally replicating the classic feedback sounds you get from an amp (with the electric guitar up close). I was let down a bit. You may have different results if you try it out. I at least wanted to get my personal feedback out there to anyone thinking about buying this plugin. I would advise anyone to demo first. I did not.
