Nothing has changed. If you look back at the thread for a Karanyi giveaway where Jorge shared his very bad experiences with the developer, I wrote that after learning about the way Karanyi treated Jorge and refused to right their wrong, I would no longer be posting their deals, but I may still post their freebies (making clear that our members may still post deals they want to post — I wouldn’t stop anyone else from posting those deals).

While I think Karanyi was clearly in the wrong in this matter, I would never put them in the same category of unethical practices like developers Impact Soundworks, Mike Greene/Realitone, or Fluffy Audio engage in. Karanyi mistakenly thought that Jorge was a bad actor. When it became clear that he was not a bad actor, they should have righted things. Karanyi didn’t set out to engage in unethical acts like the other developers I’ve mentioned who have deliberately spread false, malicious information about competitors or customers who shared bad experiences publicly or used contractors who work on products and make royalties on products to pose as regular composers/music producers making posts praising their libraries and slamming competitors. I think Karanyi is in the wrong, but I am not aware of them engaging in blatantly unethical practices as those other developers. Therefore, my call was not to stop posting their freebies.

If they merely righted their wrong with Jorge, I would start sharing their deals again. I am a customer. But I’ve stopped purchasing from them after becoming aware of their treatment of Jorge.
