i watched part of the video for this on the website and it seems like a very cool plugin. really appreciate the share! my first week registered on this site, although ive been coming here for months, and i’ve picked up a load of free and very inexpensive plugins. i dont know how long this can continue, but im enjoying it!

I completed the offer and never saw a response from @karanyi either. I checked my spam folder too to make sure that their email didn’t end up there. Dani Karanyi is a member of LinkedMusicians. Hopefully, he’ll see this and have his team look into it.

Nothing has changed. If you look back at the thread for a Karanyi giveaway where Jorge shared his very bad experiences with the developer, I wrote that after learning about the way Karanyi treated Jorge and refused to right their wrong, I would no longer be posting their deals, but I may still post their freebies (making clear that our members may still post deals they want to post — I wouldn’t stop anyone else from posting those deals).

While I think Karanyi was clearly in the wrong in this matter, I would never put them in the same category of unethical practices like developers Impact Soundworks, Mike Greene/Realitone, or Fluffy Audio engage in. Karanyi mistakenly thought that Jorge was a bad actor. When it became clear that he was not a bad actor, they should have righted things. Karanyi didn’t set out to engage in unethical acts like the other developers I’ve mentioned who have deliberately spread false, malicious information about competitors or customers who shared bad experiences publicly or used contractors who work on products and make royalties on products to pose as regular composers/music producers making posts praising their libraries and slamming competitors. I think Karanyi is in the wrong, but I am not aware of them engaging in blatantly unethical practices as those other developers. Therefore, my call was not to stop posting their freebies.

If they merely righted their wrong with Jorge, I would start sharing their deals again. I am a customer. But I’ve stopped purchasing from them after becoming aware of their treatment of Jorge.

Okay, so allow me to play God’s advocate. 😉  I kid, I kid, I couldn’t resist!

I am a registered Safari Pedals customer and I used the same email address I use for my Karanyi and Safari Pedals customer accounts. Today I tried a non-Gmail address after Doug reported that he didn’t receive an email at his Gmail address but did at a non-Gmail address. But I never received an email at the non-Gmail address either. Of course, I checked by spam / junk email folder, and nothing came there either.

This is ironic because I unsubscribed several times to Karanyi’s email list and it ignored every request and kept sending email — at two different email accounts. But when I actually want an email from them, they refuse to send it. Irony.

Actually, I should have started with welcome @htnc ! That was your first post and I meant to acknowledge it, I was just focusing on responding to your question. And btw, feel free to share your thoughts on the matter. I realize that we’re not all going to agree on everything, and that’s perfectly fine. I want people to be comfortable expressing their views here (of course, in a respectful manner) whether they agree or disagree with others.

Allow me to confess my sins. I received the freebie but the email account I used was not registered at Safari Pedals. So that does not seem to be an enforced prerequisite.

This would be a clever signature if I could think of one.

If your email is foo@domain.com, putting something like foo+1@domain.com will work

I tested and it worked in my case

However, I think that the serial number received is the same always

I used a random number (not 1 exactly) and I received an email in 30 seconds.

Before put that random number, I was receiving… nothing

But… as I said, I suspect the serial number is the same for all users, I’d like to confirm it, but I haven’t been able to yet.

I would bet that they are only sending this to new emails joining the mailing list, adding +1 to an email already registered count as a new email joining the mailing list i suppose 🤷🏻‍♂️

Exactly!

I think the offer is for new customers or people who aren’t subscribed to their newsletter. With this “trick” you can get it without problems.
