October is the new Black Friday.

Seriously, it seems I’ve run into more than a few articles from business sites that are saying this.  The main reason is most players are doing it earlier and earlier so you spend your money with them and so sad for the merchants who offer sales later on after everyone else is already tapped out.

Yep. This year, we saw Black Friday-type deals started in September and, of course, many are going on this month. I wrote the latest blog post about that. Personally, my music-related budget is exhausted for 2025. I’m largely only going to buy when I see things that are ultra inexpensive ($25 or less) or free and there have already been a lot of excellent freebies. Hopefully, more are on the way.
