Raven Strike
MAATgo
Vocal Morphs PRO
Groove Shadows
Universal Sound-Pack
MixBox
Accordions 2 – Wooden Melodica
FM8
Ozone Elements (v11)
WARP_static
bx_masterdesk True Peak
I guess perceived value wise bx_masterdesk True Peak wins, but I already own the “non true peak” version so this isnt really an update for me.
$99 min spend for the “freebie”.
If you don’t have Mixbox, I’d recommend that one. It comes with an incredible number of very decent FX!

Studio: Apollo Twin Duo USB | ARC Studio | Studio One Pro 6.6 | Windows
I’d probably end up getting Universal sound packs. Intrinsically, MixBox, FM8, masterdesk TP and even Ozone Elements are probably better deals but I already have them, and the rest I’m not familiar with them
Many of these freebies will end up on P2P resale sites for $10 or less anyway. If interested in more than one, it may be better choosing the lesser known ones. People who think about resales will pick the most popular.
Is Gear Addiction Syndrome a form of insanity? Here is my vst collection.
What is Gremlins' Music? watch or listen at Odysee

Sorry about the $99 min spend. Should have had that in the title (I corrected)
I already do have Mixbox, but for those who dont I too recommend it. Its actually a pretty great piece of kit!

I actually skipped even looking at Universal sound packs, but I will circle back now and check them. Never thought to resell something I got for free but I guess that could influence some.
Edit: Didnt realize Universal sound packs were from AAS! I thought they were some generic sound pack full of .wav I’d never use, but those guys are GREAT and very generous when it comes to their sound packs as they give their customers a free one every Christmas time. Since I’m already invested in the ecosystem that will probably be my choice.
Off-topic, but it was funny to notice this line in their marketing email:
Here’s the translation of your text into American Salesman English:
I wonder how much we’re already reading AI generated text without realizing it?
A LOT! More than three-quarters of marketing departments are routinely using AI in their written materials. Online shops are especially relying heavily on AI for online product descriptions.
I did an article on the impact AI is having on marketing earlier this year and it’s profound in terms of processes and changing job responsibilities (including the elimination of some jobs). Personally, I mostly use AI when I’m doing business writing for research (not to write for me). I actually used AI for an upcoming LinkedMusicians blog post on the DAW, plugin and sample industry. So many people post about it without knowing facts — just using their gut feeling, and most of the time, they’re dead wrong. I thought it would be interested for folks to learn about the actual state of the industry rather than speculate. I used an AI tool that’s really good for research tool to find the data. It’s just like a killer search and summary tool, which is perfect when you’re writing a fact-based article.
Your friend who keeps the beat. I suppose I'm also the chef at this place.
AI is great for “how do I” technical questions. It’s like a manual on steroids.
It’s great when you can instantly confirm what it’s saying, but I’ve noticed that I’m personally suffering a little bit from Gell-Mann amnesia effect when it comes to AI.
“In a speech in 2002, [Michael] Crichton coined the term Gell-Mann amnesia effect to describe the phenomenon of experts reading articles within their fields of expertise and finding them to be error-ridden and full of misunderstanding, but seemingly forgetting those experiences when reading articles in the same publications written on topics outside of their fields of expertise, which they believe to be credible.”
