I just got through an email exchange with Jonathan at Embertone and I have to say I’m very impressed by his responsiveness. His company is on my “look here first” list when considering virtual instruments. I used his mountain dulcimer on a project and ran into some thumping issues during some hammer-ons. These appeared randomly so I had to bounce the track several times and stitch together sections to get a thump-free performance. Even though this is the best mountain dulcimer I’ve found (out of 5 that I tried) I mentioned a few ideas that would have made my life easier (like provide DGD tuning in addition to DAD tuning that everyone else seems to provide). He was quite receptive and wanted to fully understand what my issues were.
