My guess is that it’s because of the SSL brand’s reputation and its past record of being much more expensive plugins. I mean, don’t we all look at SSL and think — “great stuff!” So when you can pick them up for less than 15 bucks a plugin (sorry for being so American currency-centric, but I do love the term “buck”), it’s super tempting.
