When it comes to free synth presets, I have one clear favorite resource, PresetShare.com.  They have a nice selection of really good quality free synth patches for the following soft synths:

Isn’t it a great resource! I think I’m not alone that I have let my GAS (spending) get carried away and there have been many times that when I’m feeling the urge to buy more stuff, I head over to presetshare.com and download a bunch of presets for Vital. I love Vital and the community uploads a bunch of presets for it regularly.

As this community grows, I would love to encourage more people sharing presets here. It’s one of those things where you’re not spending anything and you’re getting new sounds. A bunch of plugin developers used to have preset sharing — NI, Toontrack, XLN… but they closed up those forums in order to focus on selling their own presets. I would love to find more high-quality FREE presets for my sample libraries and plugins. If anyone knows of any other great resources, please share them here.

I knew there was something I forgot to reply to. Most all the time I pull up Toxic Biohazard, but thats FL only. Outside of that one of the Synthmasters (one for industrial, two for all else) and lately really into Voltage Modular. Unless I wanna do something but no idea what, then I pull up the old Crysalis, its such an arp monster there is always something in there that flows with the mood.

I’m glad you find it useful. I use it regularly. Also, if you find it useful, you’ll love what I recently put together. LinkedMusicians FREE Presets PowerSEARCH. It’s a custom version of the Google search engine that only contains a curated list of sites I’ve chosen that have great quality free synth, plugin, and sample library presets. Basically, the index contains the places I go to get free presets, one of them is Preset Galaxy, owned by our own Greg from Orange Tree Samples.

I had it open to the public for a short while, to help control costs, it’s now only for logged-in LM members. We can’t do many searches per month before we hit the ceiling. If our members really like this and want to see the number of searches increase, I would be happy to put it towards paying for additional searches). Personally, as a user of this stuff, I built what I believe are super useful tools and love this one. We have some pretty significant tools coming in the next several months. I’ll be really candid, working with @Lamia6 and her expertise in web development has been a major factor in moving this platform to the next level.
