What makes it different?

 

Superhet uses a process called Heterodyning — creating pitch sets that are mathematically related, not musically related.
These tones are formed using sum and difference frequencies, not the usual 12-tone scale.

 

To our knowledge, no other plugin works this way.

I think a ring modulator does this as well, doesn’t it? Sum and difference frequencies? Multipliers do it, too.
