I’m restraining my spending — or, at least, I’m trying to restrain it — but the developer who does the Hearth and Hollow series is Hunter Rogerson. He’s one of the most talented samplists that I discovered on Pianobok years ago. A bunch of his freebies are in my list of best free Kontakt libraries (for anyone who hasn’t gone through the list, it now includes demos of many of the libraries). He’s so talented, in a very esteemed class with musicians / samplists like Dan Keen. Their libraries transcend the run-of-the-mill nuts and bolts sample libraries that are the norm and have some extra magic in them. Their approach is so different and tasteful. They’re exactly the kind of developers that I love to see succeed, and years ago, those were the kind of developers I would provide free consulting to because I just wanted to see them make it.
