Ok as promised I’m back 🙂
Due to Xmas I won’t be able to buy it right now… got 3 kids and a wife…
So I reviewed based on audio quality in demos and reviews
Ok 2 things
Musio1 itself is discontinued as per All About Musio 1 – Musio https://share.google/EddjKKXnaz0rwQ6ur but if you own it then its kept and there is still a possibility
So if you want to buy it get it here the full library for 326gbp or equivalent in your currency Buy Musio 1 | Virtual Instruments | Plugin Boutique https://share.google/lNJpR0sUkVemFTVOjHere we go now:
Have a 1tb free for all the libraries of it and it will take a bit to get all.
Sound quality:
1800+ instruments in 250+ libraries
Some are not completely state of the art as its over 10 years of instruments developments in techniques and recording but this is one serious complete collection for composing.
Sounds are recorded professionally and sound fab and offer keyswitching and velocity switching editing is limited but that’s rather positive if don’t need that depth.
Its an amazing bread and butter set for composers, bad Peter bad bad boy you make spend soon on this..
Is it for everyone good question this very accessible but not as deep as some others like spitfire or VSO if you are doing it for living there might be better options which cost a couple of thousand dollars. I will get it as its great for quick writing due to its quick setup for the instruments.
I hope this honest quick view helps plus I suffered GAS Peter I hold you responsible 😂🤣😂🤣
4I do own Eastwest, VSO, Native instruments Stadivaries and cellos and Spitfire BBC Orchestra as well.as the Kirk Hunter set.
I need to look at Muso 1, but with EastWest it’s easy to overload as it doesn’t do divisi in the version I have but it does have thst Hollywood twang.
I will check out Muso 1 and come back
I like BBC for Orchestral work and the native strad & cells for solo work

Its a very focused tool, it makes working on drums easy. The quality of the SSL plugins is their console counterparts equal not some cheap knockoffs.
My Drumchapel usually is
SSL Drumstrip
UAD 1176 Limiter
UAD Fairhchild EQs
The Drumstrip has the main tools for all type of drumchannels to start with and if I need to reshape the dynamics of a drum sound then I use the Three-Body Technology Trinity Shaper (pluginalliance) which is insanely versatile for any transient work.
This gives me control, punch and colour

You’re a fab human and do an amazing job here to create a space without this unnecessary vile and selfish behavior just like a little teenie…
1On fretman saidOn thor saidI had most of Kirks libraries over the years, I will write up some essentials later today, what was fab is that his libraries were focused on playing techniques and fantastic legatos in an very accessible way. He led the way with polyphonic legato technology!
You “had”? Did you end up selling them?
Studio One, Windows, RME UFX, Yamaha MSP7
No I didn’t sell them, don’t know if that even works. Just didn’t buy every single library but most of what Kirk produced and it was always inspiring.
My download.page is just somehow broken at his page need to message Kirk to get it fixed.
1Here we go,
the kinetic series is fantastic but more for serious composing as its very specific
Diamond is a general purpose orchestra with very detailed options and extendable with the concert brass and string series which offer great techniques and things like very flexible vibrato and styles.
The adaptive and other series add on top from there to offer more complex elements to the tool box.
So if you have nothing get the Diamond, if you got that get the extras, I love the kinetic stuff for dramatic movie style composing as it offers a lot for quick passages.
In general Kirk has some of the most inventive special features like polyphonic legato, stops and quick play patterns with deep control like the kinetic series.
