I really like this thing.  If you struggle with mixing it’s a great tool.  30% of the time it will pretty much hit the nail on the head, 30% of time it will get you in the ballpark with a few tweaks required, and 30% of the time it will leave you baffled at what it was thinking.

This is a really great deal, but I was saddened to see that Sampletron is discontinued.

Well, I’d have to go with the Beatles.  After that a very obscure band from South Africa back in the 70’s named “The Flame”.  Then cult favorite “Big Star” from just up the road in Memphis.  If there are any Big Star fans here I actually saw them in their last live show at The University of Mississippi, October 1972.

This whole thread was incredibly informative.  I had no real idea about the inner workings/thinking of software companies and this really pulled the curtain back for me.  I would be very interested in seeing more posts along these lines.

I remember when Waves plugins first appeared some of them were around $500 each(!) and now they seem to be around $35.  This SSl plugin in has dropped from $199 to $7.99.  Now if we can just get this memo to Soft Tube and Zynaptiq.

UAD has dropped some great freebies on us lately.  Now, if they’d just add the EMT 140 reverb that that list!

That is a good price.  I got it during the last sale and I think it might have been $39.  IMHO it was money well spent.  i have noticed a CPU hit, but not as severe as Iamia6 did.

For somebody who wants to dip their toe in music production that looks like an amazing deal.
