Buyer beware.
I bought this. The Morley Collection doesn’t get added to your account. I pointed this out, Peter_IK said it was “fixed on the back end”
I responded that, no, it is not fixed at the back end at all. I was told to contact support. Go to the support page, all I get is a FAQ that has ZERO to do with this issue.

I get that there seems to be a problem that has been identified by multiple people here and Peter appears to be attempting to help get it fixed. How long has this problem gone on?
FTR, I’m good with you sharing on the forum, but this thread has turned very hostile and all of this can be expressed without the venom.
I get that you, Fleer, and, I think, Bapu, are frustrated and I really apprecaite all of you and would like to see this resolved — and I want people to share good and bad experinces here, but we still want to uphold values of civility and respect for one another — including developer members — as long as they’re ethical. While IK may be not acting quickly, no evidence has been presented that theyre unethical as you’ve asserted, and I don’t think Peter deserves to be treated in the manner you’re treating him, making personal and professional attacks, which clearly violate the written policy of this community.
As I understand it, Peter doesn’t manage customer or tech support and those employees don’t report to him. He handles digital marketing and affiliate marketing. So the most he can do is ask his fellow employees to take care of things.
If there’s more to the story, please share it. Because the “whitewashing” is a highly inflammatory statement, and I don’t see anything that warrants that kind of accusation and language. Remember also, this forum promises to be non-toxic. I will send an email off to Peter to see if I can help.
If that doesn’t get us on the path to resolution, here’s what I’d recommend. IK has a contact us form on their site, that isn’t intended for customer support, but if that form no longer exists, use the only contact form you can, and explain that. Avoid inflammatory language. Just state the facts. Take a screenshot of what you entered. Then if you don’t hear baclk or get a resolution in a timely manner, take the screenshot and post it to IK’s Facebook page and to their X page. I’ll send Peter an email right now. I have bunch of things to get done tonight not related to the site, but I will ask him to respond on this thread. Perhaps he’s working behind the scenes and has no answers. I would also expect that the hostile tone of this thread might mean he’s done posting here. I could understand that if that’s the case. That is the impact of piling on developers, especially at a new forum with a small number of community members.

What I referred to as whitewashing…
I never wrote or implied that I don’t want you or others discussing your experiences here with developers — good and bad — I do want you and all members sharing their honest experiences good and bad, it helps others. We just need to keep conversations and posts respectful/civil, and this thread is clearly falling short on civility and you’re using this forum to attack another forum member, which is a clear violation of our community policy.
In this situation, I’ve known Peter for more than 20 years, and he’s always been a decent guy. I’ve been an IK customer even before I got to know Peter — I knew Peter before he worked at IK. I’ve been a customer of IK since the early 00s and they’ve always been fair. My guess is that they’re having some kind of issue and not able to deliver quickly (that’s a complete guess) and not handling this optimally. But I cannot imagine that they’re out to screw anyone. I don’t think that they’ve suddenly become a fly by night operation. Are they capable of making mistakes in how they respond to negative feedback — most companies are.
I think you’re just really frustrated, and that’s human. It’s just not okay to use the forum to disparage other members. Now, if you wanted to project it onto IK as a company and express your frustration with the company as opposed to Peter or some employee, I don’t find that to be so problematic. But Peter is a member of this community, and in this community, the rules are to be civil to one another — that’s the part of this thread that needs to change, not sharing your experiences.
Now, if you want to vent to me, you can DM me. I see my role here not as warden, but as a peacemaker, and I want to use my friendship with Peter to see if I can help get this situation that led to this thread straightened out, if at all possible. My guess is that Peter wants the same, but doesn’t have the ability to make that happen quickly. With my own business, my rule is that we must always communicate with the customer, even if we don’t have the ideal news, we still need to promptly communicate, and it seems clear that IK hasn’t done a good job on that level and it’s led to you guys being pretty unhappy. I get that and I empathize. Let’s see if we can change that. I at least want to try to help.

@rsmcguitar I understand your frustration and I am currently holding off buying the TS5 MAX Crossgrade deal for $99 for this exact reason.
The main reason for me buying it would be for the TONEX collections and to a lesser degree the Morley pedals.
So to have to contact support just to get what I have already paid for would be a non starter. I have done this in the past but no more!
Hopefully IK can get it sorted out very soon; surely it can’t be that difficult?

I am not in tech support but frequently relay issues that are brought up to me to our Support Manager. I have done so in Fleer’s case and bumped that again yesterday. It will be taken care of.
On our forum, it is clearly stated as rule #1 that it is not a support forum and there are other rules that are in place and moderators will remove posts that are support issues (and are verified to have support attention) and there are clear guidelines posted as to what to do to get a ticket escalated if unhappy with the way it is being handled. Support issues are not going to be discussed back and forth on the forum directly and if there is a support ticket then it can be escalated and/or continued in that support ticket. I apologize if these rules are not satisfactory for some but they are the IK Forum rules and participation requires adherence to those rules, please do not get frustrated with admins or moderators who are simply doing their (frequently volunteer) job.
As of Monday morning the Morley and Signature Collections issues that some were having were absolutely fixed. If it still is an issue, please simply respond to your IK Support ticket and they will figure out why it isn’t working for you. They can continue to assist you and resolve that issue.
For anybody worried about Total Studio 5 MAX, everything unlocks properly as of that fix, and there are no global issues logged that would preclude any gear/products from being unlocked and used at this time.

For the record…
Okay, as someone whose expertise is digital marketing and has led the area at global brands, a digital marketing manager doesn’t handle customer or tech support. Peter does the forum posting because the CEO appreciates that he’s active and experienced in this area. But that does result in some people thinking Peter’s customer support, tech support, and the whipping boy complaint dept. I admit, cclarry’s behavior was so wacky and over the top hostile to Peter, it became comical to me. I stopped taking his bad behavior seriously. But that isn’t what this community is all about. It’s committed to being civil and friendly. I also want it to help people find information that isn’t biased and influenced by $$$$$ as is the way forums and blogs have gone in this industry.
So, this is my advice to everyone, a marketing manager at a small company handles stuff like the corporate website, advertising, email marketing, search engine marketing, SEO, affiliate marketing, trade show responsibilities, and maybe PR, s/he doesn’t handle customer support or tech support. Maybe s/he can bend their ear of fellow employees to make things happen, but that’s a lot different than having responsibility for things. So when people talk to Peter, Peter then goes and talks to his fellow employees.
That’s not rationalizing anything, this is business management 101. Peter doesn’t participate in forums to be customer support, he’s here to promote their products — basically, to advertise IK stuff. But he’s super helpful. So let’s make sure that we see things in the proper context. Peter is a digital marketing manager. He’s not the whipping boy in customer support or tech support. If he’s here trying to help you, he’s doing it because he’s helpful, not because that’s his job. I started as a Director in 2000, and I never dealt directly with customers. It’s not normally what marketing staff does unless it’s B2B (business to business). And that’s important to know. I think Peter can be a help to all of us, but he’s not customer or tech support and we can better get things done by not being abusive to him. I know, in his shoes, I wouldn’t continue in forums where pepole were hostile. That’s not what a marketing manager signed up for. That’s what support people have to deal with.

And to clarify, please note that as I’ve stated before I am not in support. I have been at IK for a long time and am now our Digital Marketing Manager but over the years the information and assistance I’ve been able to provide has been overall positive to the point that nobody has yet to be able to take my place (stated frankly and not with any ego, trust me LOL) since I and others here believe I’ve been doing a lot of good for us by taking time to carve out to keep contact to help folks out there without IK going silent on forums or having someone with fewer similar abilities to affect changes, escalate with some more authority, etc take over which is definitely a worse alternative in my humble opinion.
Nor are the IK Forum admins and mods, IK Support does not participate in forums at all as they handle issues in the ticketing system. Mods/admins on our forum and I can, will, and do escalate tickets when necessary and you will be helped. Like I said above I do have a long tenure at IK, I feel I have affected change for things that have been hot topics on forums, assisted with issues directly when possible (I’m not in support but I’ve been here over 15 years and have studied and worked with music and music technology for decades longer than that), and escalated and helped people get sorted countless times and will continue to do so. I think that’s pretty clear and I see nice comments above and also know that others are on your side too and are trying their best to help you, there’s no reason for them not to and in any case where someone has not been helpful I like to think of those as teaching moments to help us all improve.

I bought the TS5 Max upgrade a couple days after release and got the $99 upgrade price. They don’t allow credits used for coupon deals, which I am fine with. There is just such HUGE amount of content, I know I won’t lay eyes on most of it. I would be happy to check for specifics here. I did look and verified that the Morley pedals are there working in Amplitude. I managed to keep my wallet in my pocket since TSMax 4, so a lot is new to me.

Another note – with regard to opening IK support tickets, there is a FAQ search first when you click on Support on our site (or visit https://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/ ) but once you search the FAQ you are presented with a “Contact Support” button to open a ticket at the bottom of the FAQ entries. It also says this on the top of the Support page:
Before contacting the Support team, please review your product’s User Manual or visit the FAQ page as there is a chance that your issue has been addressed already and can be quickly resolved.

Happy to help. And I never did respond to Peter #1’s post and I ought to because I do understand that people can be frustrated and things can get heated and I’m honestly no stranger to it as I’ve been on forums as IK’s rep for an insane number of years (yes I chose that wording wisely, it is pretty accurate). I’m not “the victim” though, or anything like that, I just mean it all comes with the territory and forums get a bit of a reputation for sometimes having some quite abrasive exchanges and it puts forum admins/mods in an uncomfortable situation and even company reps (again, I’m no victim, this is just how it is) can’t always be as blunt or even transparent as they may want to be. I think that’s about how much I can say about that, I’m not hiding anything but it isn’t like I can go spilling secrets or opening floodgates of “hey Peter just gave thousands of dollars of free software away on his favorite forums!” even though I more than kind of want to sometimes. Side note – I can equate this to how similarly challenging it can be to be a parent, or even a sibling. You do what you can, you try to help in every way you are able to within the confines of the conditions of whatever role you are in.
Anyway, enough of that ramble – speaking of forums, I really wanted to thank Peter #1 (yes, that’s what I’m calling you here from now on, but only HERE 😉 ) not for the message above but for this forum in general. I’ve seen MANY forums, even some right from the beginning, and I know it is challenging to start and grow a forum like this. The part about me possibly being done here was not at all accurate, thankfully, so Peter #1 can be wrong but in the right ways. I want to see this forum flourish, sincerely. Not as Peter from IK but as Peter X (whatever number I am – go ahead and say #2, I was trying to avoid that for obvious reasons) who has enjoyed music forums forever including having thousands of posts on one of the oldest ones around before even thinking about working for IK or any vendor that might participate there. I’ve been both helpful and grumpy during that time (and hey, maybe during this vendor-specific time but shhhhh I know it and I’m human and trying to improve too, folks).
I bear no ill will toward anybody here and I will gladly go to bat as I have always and hopefully be a customer-centric influence at IK, and maybe it is good to have someone from a company that’s not just someone paid to hit some forums and such. I love seeing requests and getting ideas for things that I can take credit for – kidding, more like things I can link to to show others – and trying to help get issues resolved. Like I’ve said, sometimes I can even help with those directly but if I can’t I can help get things escalated if necessary. I know I’ve enjoyed participating in non-IK threads on forums before and I absolutely will and will continue to whenever time permits. I’m frequently on forums outside of normal business hours too so I must enjoy it, and I should try harder to get more in tune with the social aspects here too because that’s part of the huge potential here.
TL;DR – This forum has major potential, it’s pretty golden now and will continue to have typical growing pains like any other. But it is more than a forum – more than a community, even, both in technical scope and conceptually. I’m not “done” and I hope nobody else is. I’ll be here even without representing IK, and I hope to devote more time to exploring more than a portion of it in depth and remain proud to be here.

Finally, as I feel lthat I’m kind of like the host here — and you and I have known each other a loooooong time — I think it would be great if people got to know more about you — the person, and musician as opposed to you in a your professional capacity. You have this great musical background and most people here probably have no idea. If you’re game, one of my favorite threads EVER, which was inspired by an old thread on KVR from probably 2002 where someone asked everyone to post an old band photo of themselves — contains 7 questions I ask members to share about their musical backgrounds and interests. The feedback from those who’ve done it has been overwhelmingly positive. I’d love to see you do it — and anyone else reading this who hasn’t done it already. @rsmcguitar I’ve DMed you and sent an emailed you with no responses over the past couple days. You shared the problems you were having in the above posts, which resulted in me contacting Peter-IK within hours to see if Peter could help you and Fleer, as I explained in my messages to you. Peter had responded to me that he had a video call with IK’s support manager that day and believed that everything was resolved. Fleer has confirmed that everything is resolved for him. Could you please follow up and post here to let us know if your issues have been resolved or not?
