I really have my doubts that well established 3rd party developers like project sam and soundiron are that open or even allowed to let their sucessful libraries available on kontakt to be heavily discounted on other platforms, but i know nothing😁.
I can see this model maybe working on obscure 3rd party developers that are able to do interesting libraries and want a cheaper platform to get out there.
But then we start talking about Musio as a niche product … and now we can talk about decent sampler and pianobook and all those interesting sample libraries for free..
I dont know, im feeling a bit disconnected from their vision for Musio.
Despite that i agree with @Brian Musio 1 for 150$, if it manages to stick around, is a hell of a deal.
1September 16, 2025 at 9:00 am in reply to: Musio upcoming livestream w/ announcement and Q&A #1000034706Had the opportunity to see their full Q&A video, and im trying not to be too negative about Musio.
They really seem a bunch of well-intentioned and friendly guys but unfortunately that wasnt great, a mess to be honest😬, or at least they are trying a direction that it isnt appealing to me.
They are trying to sell it mainly as a rompler for third party developers, and they seem pretty uncomfortable talking about new self developed libraries. Stated that they have a couple to come but the main focus is 3rd party development.
So not likely to come to be a Musio 2 in the near future and the bunch of people with lifetime Musio license better to low their expectations.
I only see the viability in this if they manage to have great exclusive 3rd party libraries, if they are counting on porting libraries from Kontakt theres no way.
I have Sine installed because its the only way to play Orchestral Tools Libraries, same for Opus, same for Spitfire platform.
In the end i came out of that video with that “nothing to see here” feeling, but then again maybe it is just not for me and will perfectly suit others 🤷🏻♂️
4September 15, 2025 at 6:06 pm in reply to: Musio upcoming livestream w/ announcement and Q&A #1000034657well its great to see Musio evolving, i wish them all the best and will be on board when and if there is a Musio 2 to add to my Musio 1.
As for this feature in all honesty really dont care at all. Will always be buying libraries in kontakt if there is that option available, without any doubt.
But anyway good to see them trying new things
1September 9, 2025 at 2:01 am in reply to: AP DEAL 24 HRS ONLY: Classic Boxes Collection by d16 Group $149 reg. $299 #1000034377September 7, 2025 at 5:25 am in reply to: Musio Just Opened a Sampled Instrument Marketplace #1000034275I think this is great news as it enables them to keep outputing new libraries, sell them and in the future think about a Musio 2 with them. In the end it is the NI model that works great for them, and that are having its followers (see Sonic Bundle UVI, Arturia).
i would be surprised if in this model they keep discounting Musio1 as low as they used to. You cant expect to sell individual libraries for very reasonable prices (as the ones in the marketplace) if then you offer an option to buy almost the full catalog for as low as 125$.
So i see this as great news…if you are interested in Musio 1 and are able to find it on sale somewhere, now is the time i would think
4+1 Sonic Bundle as best purchase.. for me it was really a steal.
As stated above, i only have great things to say about UVI customer support too
The thing is from the moment they went full “NI Komplete” on me i went full “NI Komplete” on them… they will have my money on Sonic Bundle 2 thats for sure.
Other than that only if something comes out that really grabs my attention
2August 29, 2025 at 6:22 am in reply to: Wrongtools Mule Piano PRE ORDER at 50% Off: €39 (reg. €78) #1000033752Sounding great Peter 😉
its a shame that its full kontakt only because they end up missing customers like me who obsess over libraries that must show up on my libraries tab.
I understand that it is a cost related decision but my experience tells me that i never ever reach for the ones buried between folders on one of my ssd drives
1July 24, 2025 at 3:27 am in reply to: Crocus Soundware All Libraries & Bundles Up to 60% Off #1000032369I have an issue with this new library from them.
A couple of months ago Emergence Audio released Obsidian Brass, and in one of the first review videos, the first comment was a guy saying:
“ Hi Don, thanks for the review! I see this library as being in the same style and as a competitor to the beloved CrocusSoundware LIMINAL Horns Vol.1. Both are based on evolving ensemble loops, but the latter is more affordable. From your great review, it seems to me that Emergence Audio offers maybe a wider palette of sounds compared to CrocusSoundware. However, while both libraries provide many soundscape variations (with CrocusSoundware focusing on blend of French horns and flugelhorns), I personally prefer in general the CrocusSoundware sounds for its more aleatoric and unique mesmerizing atmospheres that immediately put you in that hypnotic environments. Emergence Audio sounds nice too, but to my ears, the resulting soundscapes feel a bit more “standard” synth-like compared to the so unique hypnotic vibe that CrocusSoundware consistently delivers (in each library). By the way, it seems that LIMINAL Horns Vol.2 might be coming soon!
Just sharing my perspective as a fellow end user. 🙂 “
That sounded fishy, like a sales pitch for CrocusSoundware Liminal libraries on that Emergence Audio OBSIDIAN Brass Library…
and there you go… couple months later Crocus Soundware releases Liminal ZEPHYRIAN Brass
My problem with this is that i really doubt that guy was merely “a fellow end user”

Just had to go back to this one because i shared wrong information
It turns out i was wrong and if you buy from Best Service or any other retailer you can reach their customer support and they will add it to your account with zero hassle. Did that myself, great customer service by the way, shout out to Simon Wiebe from Sonuscore for the friendly interaction.
Sorry guys for spreanding misinfornation.
July 17, 2025 at 4:22 am in reply to: Spitfire Audio Offer – 50% off 3 libraries of your choice #1000032064July 5, 2025 at 9:57 am in reply to: 50% Sonuscore Ellyson Libraries – Buy From Sonuscore or Best Service #1000031508Just a heads.
the licenses from Sonuscore bought through Best Services are managed by BS.
what that means is that BS will give you the license to register directly in Native Access and you are not able to register them on your Sonuscore account.
And for that reason you will not be able to take advantage of some bundles exclusive to Sonuscore, as an example, if you have Time textures extended registered in Sonuscore you will be able to crossgrade to Nordic Spheres for 66€. If you buy from Best Service your only option is to buy Nordic Spheres for 133€
22I own everything from AAS except for CV-3 its Patch Alchemy sound pak, but the CV-3 upgrade is $49 for me.
Studio One, Windows, RME UFX, Yamaha MSP7
In your case i think maybe its because you are only missing one instrument.
From my understanding when on sale they normally discount the complete your instruments bundle by half, so that could be the reason why right now, people who is missing two instrument upgrades have that half price complete bundle discount.
im assuming this because in an previous sale i had a discount for completing the upgrade for chromaphone and CV3 and it was 44$ as well. I end up buying only the chromophone upgrade from another store and when i did register chromaphone license i end up with the same 44$(or 49 im not sure) to upgrade cv-3 only.
Dont know if thats the reason but this happened to me
