Congrats to Mira and GusGranite! Appreciate sharing your experience with the products.

Xandre posted exactly what I was going to say. Founder Peter (that has a ring to it!) has not only his longtime ties with developers but also a strong background in modern marketing (web, digital etc). Sharing that knowledge and expertise helps us understand the plugin market. He has some very interesting ideas that if developed into Forum functionality will be real time savers for us. The daily email of deal highlights is one example.

The music shared and discussion of how people use products is very helpful.

Doug

Thanks – I chose Axxess Pop Expansion Pak

1. Gregg Allman – first exposure I had live to a B3 player – started lifetime love of the instrument. He wasn’t always out in front soloing but when he did it fit the song well.
2. Ian Stewart – Nicky Hopkins – Chuck Leavell – I’m putting them together for their Rolling Stones work.
3. Jan Hammer – played at my high school when I was a junior – mind blowing/life changing performance by Mahavishnu Orchestra
4. Steve Winwood
5. Ray Manzarek

I was watching Simeon do a demo on Slower which has a “fragment” version (just one of the several instruments). I went to the e-Instruments sites and listened to Desolate because I love twangy reverb drenched tremolo guitar (Twin Peaks, Duane Eddy etc). I might bite on getting the rest of the plugin. It’s very playable which is not always the case with guitar VST’s.

[dsteinschneider]

Thanks for upgrading server – time for another paypal!

Plugin Alliance was the first company I bought a plugin from – the bx_bassdude fender bassman VST, probably developed by Igor Nembrini. Everyday when I practice bass I use their Ampgeg B15N which I know Nembrini developed. I always enjoyed Dirk’s marketing shenanigans and am grateful for the freebies they’ve shared over the years.

I commented this on another thread here – If I had just bought the $99 Studio Max 5 upgrade it would have automatically been exactly what I picked with the 50 group buy items. .

1

[dsteinschneider]

IK Max Studio 5 for $99 would have accomplished exactly the same as the group buy for me with a lot less “work” 🙂

[dsteinschneider]

I just finished all but one of my Group Buy 2025 promotion choices. I made sure I had every TR6 FX (my last Total Studio Max was for TR5), all the Pianoverse pianos, All the Tonex and AmpliTube Signature Collections. Then I chose some SampleTank items like LA Confidential, London Grooves, Salsa Percussion and a few others.

I had to open each TR6 item in my DAW to check if I had it or not. Same in Tonex and AmpliTube. Good exercise though because I checked them all out as I did so. Learned much by watching YouTube videos at the same time.

My typing fingers are sore from just thinking about keeping up with the BF sales.

1

[dsteinschneider]

I’m really busy lately, it would be great if only the BF sales I’m interested in are posted. I like amp sims, piano, organ and synth VST’s, and mixing FX. Thanks for your attention in this matter 🙂

3

[dsteinschneider]

I downloaded all the Pianoverse grand pianos. Might do the uprights later once I make sure I’ve got all the T-Racks 6 stuff and other little hidden gems like Salsa Percussion Loops which is actually a very playable latin percussion VST.

I think I’ll be done picking out my 50 IK group buy items by Nov 28 🙂

[dsteinschneider]

Congrats on the traffic growth – never an easy task!

[dsteinschneider]

BTW, I figured out that when you click “Submit” to just keep refreshing that page until it goes through – you don’t lose the slot and the product will get added to the account

[dsteinschneider]

I bought the PB AT5 for $29 for our studio account. The main difference going in at $199 was T-Racks Pro instead of T-Racks which I think mostly eliminates the need for slots for TR6 items

1

[dsteinschneider]

I got in at the $99 level. My last purchase was Total Studio 2 Max so I used up all my slots buying T-Racks 6 products, Pianoverse, Tonex Collections, Modo Bass guitars not included in base product, a few Modo Drums, ARC X, The Resonator and some other odds and ends.

This deal gets you in at the $199 level – is there anything between $99-199 of interest that would not have been in my drop down from the $99 level?

[dsteinschneider]

I would hold off right now (Monday morning Oct 27) on processing your promotion slots.

I just confirmed a promotion slot for the Tonex Signature Hyde Street Amp Locker and my browser reported back a 500 connection reset error. The slot is showing as redeemed but I’ve waited way longer than normal for the email confirmation (not received). I also did a restore purchases in Tonex but no Hyde Street Amp Locker.

I submitted a ticket

Working now, I use AIR products (Velvet in particular), so I know the drill, launched their Windows app, add product – pasted serial in and then download, then install. They must have fixed it.

2

[dsteinschneider]

Upgrade ordered. I’m used to the interface so not too concerned about that. I use it for jam sessions, it’s great being able to instantly load up synth patches with effects in one slot in Cantabile.

2

[dsteinschneider]

Update on my Tonex Signature Bass Collection purchase that didn’t qualify for the group buy. Since it was released after the beginning the Group Buy it would not be available as a free title to choose.

The captures in the Bass Collection are top notch, I found many good ones on Tonex Net but these new ones are just unbelievably good. So, I’m going to buy another Tonex collection to enter the Group Buy.

Is Brown Collection 1 a qualifying purchase? I’m asking because I want to make double sure this round 🙂

At least I have plenty of Jam Points to take the edge off this.

[dsteinschneider]

IK is very straightforward about software licenses being non-refundable.

They denied my request.

I’m crushed – I just bought the Tonex Bass Collection and then I see this in the YouTube comments for it:

Sorry, that is not possible at this time. New products released after Group Buys begin are not added.

————-

I could have so easily have bought one of the Brown collections and gotten the Bass collection later as one of the free titles.

I thought I was an experienced IK buyer. What threw me off is that if you click on the “See qualifying TONEX Signature Collections” link you come to a page that shows the Bass Collection

[dsteinschneider]

The free offer of the WA Vocal Compressor appears to have expired. The cost of having too many gigs to check in here for freebies 🙂

1

[dsteinschneider]

Bought the Tonex Bass collection, took 15 Jampoints so qualified for $85. This will be well worth it as I need ARC X and a bunch of guitar Tonex collections (Brown versions especially).

1

[dsteinschneider]

I usually just use a dried out 🙂 Legacy of Rock Jet Black kit so I listened to the No Doubt songs based on that SDX. Sounded good – will probably buy a bundle of 5 or 10 at some point.

1

[dsteinschneider]

If this group buy wasn’t a little confusing and missing products in the dropdowns I would be suspicious that the whole thing is a scam 🙂

[dsteinschneider]

Worked for my Groove3 login that wasn’t active at the time.

1

[dsteinschneider]

Hi Peter,

Glad you’re here on LM! I want to buy ARC X. I didn’t see it in the excluded software list but it is for sale under $99 so hoping you can confirm whether it qualifies for this group by.

Thanks,

Doug

I’m staying on Mixbus Pro 10 myself – I track in Reaper and then mixdown in Mixbus. If no midi instruments are involved, I’ll start in Mixbus. I’ll go to the next version of Mixbus Pro after they fix MIDI.

1

[dsteinschneider]

The Cherry Audio Miniverse, like many of their products, is a step up from the free ones I’ve been using.

1

[dsteinschneider]

I bought this – chose G-Force Axxess as freebee

2

[dsteinschneider]

I left it open and today pasted in the code provided in the first step by pluginomat – and it worked.
