May 21, 2026 at 11:05 pm in reply to: 📢 NEW: WEEKLY EMAIL: Best Deals, Glitches & Freebies of the Week #1000049008
Good post @lamia6
How about using this thread/topic for posting future game deals (just like there’s one in our old deals place)?
May 21, 2026 at 6:16 am in reply to: The Evolution Begins: Why LinkedMusicians 2.0 is the Future + THE LATEST UPDATES #1000048962Yesterday I took the same post I made in our subreddit and reposted it to r/nativeinstruments. While the original post in our subreddit only had a single comment and one up vote in two days, within a half hour, the repost in NI’s subreddit had 11 comments. Before anyone sees that and thinks to themselves — “wow, that’s depressing” — consider this. That lack of reaction to the original post is very similar to what would happen if I posted that thread on LinkedMusicians — actually, I did post it here, and the response was non-existent. And if you delved into the site stats, you would see that A LOT of people viewed that thread here — but none of them commented. That is the reality of our situation, lots of visitors and extremely low interaction.
So why is it better to have that problem on our subreddit than this site? Because Reddit is one of the ten most popular sites on the web. Reddit users can search and join other communities of interest in a single click. Even more, our presence there means that I can repost r/LinkedMusicians post in other relevant communities where those posts will be of value and grow our community in a way that is not possible with a standalone social media platform like LinkedMusicians.com. Our subreddit gives us an incredible opportunity to reach and grow our community that is perfect for LinkedMusicians.
This gave me a new understanding on why you move, and with it, I can now give my 100% consent (not that you need it anyway).
I genuinely am not chatty (you won’t see me chat away on other places either), but I like to read what others (who most of the time are more experienced/informed) say about a particular deal/topic that interests me. And I can see that, many times, it’s not happening here. Especially for deals: it’s important for me to be able to read what others say about it, whether it’s a good enough deal, what practical uses it has, etc. And sometimes, not always but sometimes, the same deal posting elsewhere has people discussing it, which is more informative for me personally. Well, maybe those chatty (but knowledgeable) ones aren’t here yet.
So hopefully it would be more lively in the new place.
The reason toxicity is profitable is that controversy interests people. That drives up activity and things like time spent on sites, increases page views, leads to more clicks, etc — all of which is how these businesses make money.
I concur!
2May 16, 2026 at 2:15 am in reply to: Purified Audio’s The Everything Bundle is now free! #1000048764It was working, but it didn’t get through because I didn’t fill in anything (e-mail etc.) (I thought I’d try, because the big black buy/checkout/pay/whatever wasn’t dimmed [i.e.: clickable]. Then it told me to enter e-mail etc.)
Now it says “MYSHITWASFUCKED discount code isn’t available to you right now”
So for others, make sure everything’s filled in.
1May 9, 2026 at 4:51 am in reply to: inMusic will acquire Native Instruments, as NI joins brands from Akai to Moog #1000048491Seriously, though, you have to check it out. Clearly, no one noticed it because you’re probably all coming here for deals and not looking at anything else, but this is a really cool section and NI employees have noticed it, redditors have noticed, Google has noticed. The only people that didn’t notice are my fam right here!
Touché!
Guilty LOL. Heading there now.
May 5, 2026 at 3:28 am in reply to: The State of Digital Discourse: What a Sentiment Analysis Reveals About Popular Music Producer Forums #1000048335@linkedmusicians I found out that the above AI analysis is quite spot on (within my very limited knowledge & time involved on those forums). That’s the reason my remark about AI.
Also, after seeing an announcement from a notational software that it now supports an AI synthesis plugin (which the creator has stated openly that all voice sources are willingly recorded, compensated, and earn royalties as their voices get used), which enables it to sing the notated lyrics, was met with some comments regretting the software’s “AI use.”
I appreciate you naming those prejudicial users. I recognized them as active posters elsewhere.

There’s no escape from AI, no matter how hard some people resists. Sure, it needs to be regulated, and there isn’t enough regulation (yet?). Really “all & everything AI is bad & evil” movement isn’t going to succeed. In fact, instead of “ban all AI,” they need to push their passion for “responsible & regulated AI.”
1May 4, 2026 at 9:05 am in reply to: LINKEDMUSICIANS FORUM WILL SOON CLOSE AND TRANSITION TO OUR SUBREDDIT #1000048303I think I like “killer deals” more than “just deals.” it supports those like me who doesn’t have unlimited funds, while living in a country included in “countries with lower purchasing power” list of an online music course site (they are offering scholarships for students from those countries).
Honestly, I’m also more familiar with forums format (although my Reddit account is 9 years old). I usually end up on Reddit because of Google searches. But who knows.
I’m aware that there are thousands members in there.
1May 4, 2026 at 3:29 am in reply to: The State of Digital Discourse: What a Sentiment Analysis Reveals About Popular Music Producer Forums #1000048290Still, on a relative basis, out of all of the forums included in this analysis that aren’t LinkedMusicians, KVR would rank as the one I like the best.
So, your toxicity leveling is actually the opposite of Gemini’s?
Btw, I like the blog post, and this is exactly why you should keep blogging.

Hopefully you can continue blogging, because I learn much from it, the business/marketing angle and also the insider scoops.
Thank you for all your hard work & personal sacrifices. It’s nice that you are going to keep all the resources.
11April 21, 2026 at 4:05 am in reply to: Humble Bundle: Aria Sounds London Symphonic Strings Bundle $20 #1000047661This is a link (posted by @Kirean on another deal forum) to a (don’t-buy-)review:

This kind of sharing (your own not so good experience with a product: in this case the SSD) is very valuable.
1Now, for my suggestion for real:
Clicking U badge works for threads that I’ve read but have new comments in it (i.e.: it opens the thread & brings me to the 1st unread comment).
However, clicking U on threads that I’ve never read brings me to the end of the thread (i.e.: to the white empty box where one types replies). I think it should bring me to top of the thread (i.e.: the 1st post).
I’ve got a few:
- This I’ve mentioned before, but please please find and nuke the thing that blocks middle mouse button from working on this site.
- I like the newly bolded post titles in the forum view. However, is it possible to have non-bolded thread title if there are no new posts since you last read the topic? Also, please remove the bolding from the date.
I literally just found this forum & thread (have never come out from “the forum”), so please forgive the necro-bump.
Just want to give my +1 on these.
Glad to know that I’m not alone on #1. It seems to work universally, so it surprises me that it doesn’t work here (must be something blocking it, right?).
Re: #2, I can’t remember if I’ve been here when you wrote this, but it must’ve been implemented, because I definitely remember that I used to be able to browse the posts very effortlessly (i.e.: as per your suggestion).
Unfortunately, this has been revoked (which I’ve been given the reason for it). Still can’t get used to it, & had to resort to some css formatting to help my eyes with the current U & R badges (for me, it’s too similar in dark mode, & I prefer dark than light [although it might have better U & R distinction]).
With any luck, there will be solutions which work for people with different vision ability.
April 14, 2026 at 1:38 am in reply to: APD: Vivid Strings Bundle by Pulse Audio $49 reg. $249 #1000047373April 12, 2026 at 11:53 pm in reply to: 🆓🔥 NEW! Sonscore LUX Orchestral Strings Elements FREE! #1000047348One commenter at BPB mentioned this:
Why is the top panel with the routing and other things disabled? You can’t select MIDI channels at all. Outputs and levels can only be changed through the instruments’ built in mixer, which is several clicks away from the standard Kontakt UI. Level meters don’t appear to work.
Was that also your experience?
April 11, 2026 at 4:56 am in reply to: MeldaProduction MLimiterX reg. $116 for $12 w/ Code #1000047254April 11, 2026 at 4:49 am in reply to: MeldaProduction MLimiterX reg. $116 for $12 w/ Code #1000047253Thanks for the answer.
I guess I should know it from the code, since I used to visit them, and I’m still receiving their e-mails (this is from “BPB Newsletter – FREE LUX Orchestral Strings Elements, VU202 sampler plugin & more!” isn’t it?).
Why “used”? Just because of time (the lack of it). I even disregard their e-mails (guess that will give you some hints 🙁 )
I’m not insinuating anything, & I’m truly sorry, but this is just the fact of my life. However, I do open some (“important”) e-mails, and try to visit some (“important”) sites: I almost certainly will miss this Melda promo if you didn’t post it (or perhaps I would know about it from my other “important sites”).
About talking more in here, I’ll try, but definitely don’t hold your breath.
About having others to talk more, I really don’t have a clue (I don’t do business business, I’m bad even at marketing myself). I do have 1 small opinion: newbies/new members usually have questions, and as long as a) they don’t feel discouraged to ask (i.e.: they dare/care enough to ask); and b) they get responses from more knowledgeable members (this is the very least; helpful answers definitely is better)
Then perhaps there will be some conversations. This conversation, for example, happened because you positively responded to my question, and because both of us care enough to converse.
Of course, there’s now chatbots that people converse with/ask question to. But, maybe, if you could somehow encourage people to chat/ask here instead of to chatbots?
So, I guess, at least for me personally, it’s how the sites/forums/mails stay relevant & worthwhile to visit/open/read. I did subscribe to BPB’s mails, and back then I read them & visited the site. It’s just that now they are demoted and, regrettably, is in low enough position that I can’t pay attention to them now. Don’t get me wrong though, I don’t say that I certainly won’t open/read LM’s (future) newsletters.

The top results reflect what is popular. The LinkedMusicians PowerSEARCH engines are created by a human curating the included pages being searched to reflect only expert advice from respected expert source regardless of their popularity/ranking with Google or other search engines.
Yes, popularity based ranking is the downside of search engines and current AIs. For search engines, I guess that can’t be avoided, otherwise the alternatives are even worse (nobody wants random hit lists). But future AIs, maybe. Of course it would need people/organization with the correct motive, ideology, and resources (i.e.: money).
February 26, 2026 at 12:51 am in reply to: 📢 NEW SITE FUNCTIONALTY: Music Gear Reviews & Forums + subreddit PowerSearch #1000043966I see you’ve included that “toxic” forum that, while it has your (and probably some others’) dislike (which I totally understand), undeniably has more collective (positive & negative) thoughts than others due to its reach.
Thank you for your effort to make the search engine better & more useful, and being the bigger man.
1February 18, 2026 at 6:57 am in reply to: 📚 🆓 DID YOU KNOW…. You Can Read SOS, Mix, Future Music…FREE at LM? #1000043501As always, I’ll be super candid and share that this content — which I think is really useful — gets virtually no visits. Our visitors go to two places on the site, (1) the deals forum — here — and (2) the Best Free Kontakt Kontakt Sample Libraries page. I was contemplating doing some graphics to promote the content on the right hand side column. I’ve been using that to make people aware of content I believe they will find valuable.
I think you have the idea already.
I, too, have the deals forum bookmarked & straightly go there without going through the main page. I know you’d like for us to hang around, but, honestly, my real world just doesn’t let me. However, your original post (this thread) caught my attention, and I’ve skimmed through the articles. I didn’t know they are there, and I would never know their existence if you didn’t post about it here.
So, yes, display those things prominently & interestingly on your two favorite sections. Like it or not, you probably need to treat the two sections as your site’s de facto homepage.
1February 17, 2026 at 10:03 pm in reply to: 📚 🆓 DID YOU KNOW…. You Can Read SOS, Mix, Future Music…FREE at LM? #1000043467It never seizes to amaze how people willing to pay for a product are almost always getting a worse experience than those that obtain things illegally
I have 2 products (worth more than 600 USD) from a big company (it even was mentioned in the older thread as one of the big enough companies able to bail NI out), and has “incompatibility issue” (my own term) with their software protection (they share the system): somehow their periodic license check force-closes those products. Support can’t figure out what’s the problem (we have gone through the usual routine: antivirus check, .dmp files submission, everything up to Windows reinstall, which I won’t do).
So I have to make do with frequent saves & short sessions.
Imagine if that incompatible portion was eliminated.
1December 15, 2025 at 2:10 am in reply to: 🆓🔥 UAD 1176 FET Compressor & Century Tube Channel Strip FREE! 🔥 #1000040663Hi @peter, first of all, I didn’t know that there’s an e-mail alert for Deals section. However, you’re correct that I probably don’t want to be alerted of every single deals. That being said, I might be having more interest in time-sensitive deals and glitches, and yes, I think I’ll try subscribing to it, to have a feel on how useful it is (also, as in: how many alerts I’m going to get in a given time period).
Specifically for the on-topic freebie, yes, I would like it very much if I could get an alert such as “limited (probably mere minutes/hours) free UAD effects on jrrshop.”

It seems to me that the original Pulse Audio was once independent (but I won’t risk my neck on this).
Anyway, I still say that early-released sections have better quality/playability than the others. -
