The really sad part about this whole affair is that this library was given away. The people responding with didn’t pay a cent for this. I could see people reacting if they had invested a huge sum of money in a product and it didn’t work for them but reacting this way for something they received for free is just not called for.

From what I understand, the CM version and the Core version are very similar if not the same. Core does provide an upgrade path while CM does not.

It seems to me that the original Pulse Audio was once independent (but I won’t risk my neck on this).
Anyway, I still say that early-released sections have better quality/playability than the others.

Pulse was developed by VSTBuzz. It was never independent.

You might be able to get a “Version 2” if you compile from source but I would not put too much stock in its stability or features. There is active development going on with the last github commit being about an hour ago. So until there is an actual 2 release, I would stick with version 1.

They is IKM’s weird upgrade plans. MAXGrade is an upgrade from any max product, for example Amplitube 5 MAX. Upgrade is from a previous version of Total Studio MAX. So currently, the upgrade is more expensive than the MAXgrade which defies logic.

If you have jampoints you can get it direct from IKM for $85.

I bought this in June for $140 with jampoints. However I think I saved money because if I had not, I would have bought into the recent group buy and then still be tempted by this because the group buy would not have gotten me max.

Where I think the confusion lies is MrFigg thought that if you already owned Tonex before the group buy, you could still get two free Tonex collections. He couldn’t figure out how to get those two free packs. But the fact is that you have to buy a qualifying item to get into the group buy and get the free items. There are no free packs outside of the group buy.

I think this was intended to mean, at the time of writing , if you buy Tonex SE to get into the group buy you would immedeiately get two signature collections for free, with more signature collections to follow as the group buy ramps up. I think the second statement was meant to say that if you already own Tonex, you can buy a signature collection to get into the group buy and get two more for free with more to follow.

It was pretty badly worded and confusing as heck.
